About Woodlands

At Woodlands Preschool, we offer high-quality education and care for children aged 0 to 5, across our 2 centres, in a welcoming environment that feels like home. Owned and operated by a qualified social worker with a deep understanding of children and whānau, the centres are shaped by genuine care, respectful relationships and a passion for making a difference in early childhood education. We believe tamariki deserve a place where they feel safe, valued and inspired to grow.

Our Approach

Our approach is grounded in strong, respectful relationships with whānau, open communication and a genuine commitment to each child's individual learning journey. We value free play alongside gentle guidance, helping tamariki build confidence and connection through meaningful experiences. Daily activities such as baking, creative arts, science play and messy exploration encourage curiosity and joy. Learning is shared with families through Storypark and in-centre profile books, celebrating each child’s unique progress and discoveries.

Our approach integrates outdoor play, exploration, and exciting excursions, providing children with hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and foster a love for nature.
