My name is Akwinder and I am fully registered kaiako (Teacher), I have done Bachelors of Arts (Level-7), Masters of Arts (Level-9), Bachelors of Education (Level-7) and Masters of Education (Level-9) in India. Moreover, I have accomplished Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Level-7) in New Zealand.
I had been teaching at tertiary level in India for 7 Years and have been teaching in New Zealand as an early childhood Kaiako since 2020. I am reflective practitioner, who always keen to track the interests and dispositions of tamariki which leads to their planning a stimulating and responsive environment for their exploration and creativity.
Also, I am passionate about fostering strong, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues. I believe in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. Hence, my teaching philosophy is grounded in continuous learning, collaboration, and culturally responsive practice.
